How long does relining typically take?

Times will vary according to a range of factors (the extent of misalignment, damage present, whether a new cast has to be taken of your mouth etc). We advise confirming with your local prosthetist, as they will likely be able to provide a more accurate estimate after assessing your dentures. In some cases, a same-day relining may be provided.
What is the average lifespan for dentures?

Today, thanks to new materials and advanced technology, dentures can last between five and seven years. Of course, lifespan length will depend on how well and regularly the dentures are maintained. We advise confirming with your local dental prosthetist to get an estimate for your specific denture type.
Will I be fitted with a denture while I heal from implant surgery?

Yes. While we might sometimes recommend patients avoid wearing dentures for the first couple of weeks following surgery to promote healing, you will be fitted with a temporary denture as your implants heal.
Why does fitting an implant-retained denture take so long?

An implant-retained denture is removable, and can’t be fitted while your mouth is healing from implant surgery. As a result, the process is lengthy, and much of the treatment time (3-6 months) involves your mouth healing from surgery. Once you’re healed, impressions will be taken and your dentures fitted and adjusted.
